Trip Highlights

Driving Alberta’s wide open roads with their great signage is a relaxing way to explore the Canadian Rockies, badlands, parks and prairies.

Wildlife sightings include; Grizzly bears, black & brown bears, cougars, lynx, mountain goats, wolves, elk, mule & whitetail deer, moose, big horn sheep, and wolverines.

Showcasing some of the most pristine wilderness, cultural and historic heritage that Alberta has to offer.

Wildlife and Canadian Rockies: Day 1: CALGARY – BANFF
Upon arrival in Calgary collect your car and drive to Banff. An evening wildlife safari is included. Learn about their needs and inter-relationships.

Wildlife and Canadian Rockies: Day 2: BANFF
Take a ride on the Banff Gondola for a stunning view. Afterwards drive to the Yamnuska Wolf Dog Sanctuary where an expert guide will explain wolf behaviour.

Wildlife and Canadian Rockies: Day 3: BANFF – LAKE LOUISE
A short drive to Lake Louise. Ride the sightseeing Gondola. This area is one of the best to see grizzly bears in their natural environment.

Wildlife and Canadian Rockies: Day 5: LAKE LOUISE – JASPER
Travel via the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Stop and experience the new Glacier Skywalk and the Columbia Icefield before continuning your journey to Jasper.

Wildlife & Canadian Rockies: Day 6: JASPER
Jasper National Park occupies the largest inhabitable valley in the Canadian Rockies. Your self-drive holiday is a great chance to enjoy the scenery and learn more about the local inhabitants.

Wildlife and Canadian Rockies: Day 7: JASPER – EDMONTON
Depart this morning, and drive to Edmonton for overnight stay. Perhaps drive to Elk Island National Park for some wilflife photo opportunities.

Wildlife and Canadian Rockies: Day 8: EDMONTON
Check out of your hotel this morning and return your car.
